dime_novel_hero: before 2011 (First Tintype)
It's been in continuous print for nearly a century and a half. It is one of the classics of science fiction. It's been copied and adapted numerous time and yet another film this past week. So why is it that I had to travel to five different bookstores before I was able to find a copy of Jules Verne's "Journey to the Center of the Earth." Perhaps, you may speculate, the bookstores are waiting for the movie tie-in edition that will assuredly have Brendan Fraser on the cover. That does not explain that in the first four bookstore I was only able to find a single copy of "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea."

Isn't Verne good enough anymore?

When Verne gets treated so poorly as in Joe Lansdale's "Flaming London", I suppose not.
